Garlic naan recipe is an exotic recipe which comes from Asia. It was once a
favorite breakfast among the Mongols and is great when eaten hot. Today however, it’s eaten anytime and in
every table where it’s served at. Garlic has been discovered in Central Asia almost 6
000 years ago long before the establishment of the Mongolian dynasty where it was a popular ingredient for
naan bread among tribes inhabiting the same region. Today, naan bread is still a favorite among the people
living in countries located in central and south Asia. It was believed that the wild garlic variety was used
by the ancient tribes in cooking their favorite bread.
Wild garlic is still present in several countries even in the states. They are edible and have great
medical properties but they are getting to be a nuisance because of their ability to propagate at very fast rate.
They’re competing for agricultural lands used for planting cash crops like wheat, which are being spoiled because
of their presence.
Garlic naan recipe is a mixture of white
flour kneaded with salt, yeast, and yogurt. Several minutes later the yeast will double the size of the dough. The
dough is broken into pieces and they are formed into small round figures. Then they are flattened and cooked.
The spices and the ingredients are added on top of the bread. Garlic, oregano, onion, thyme
and other spices are placed on top of the bread. It may also include animal meat, potato, and more.
Asians are known for their spicy dishes and they love using garlic in liberal amounts in
particular. Naan bread is no exception. It makes the bread definitely a nourishing food.
Harvested every year once in spring and the next summer after it, they are a constant source
of cheap medicine for many people. They are made into pastes, capsules and tablets for more effective ways of
treating the common illnesses that affects us. Juices and oils are also extracted for the same purpose.
What was once a tribal food, has now found its way to the menu list of some luxurious hotels
and restaurants.
Naan garlic recipe is now considered an international gourmet food, depending of course on the
ingredients and the manner of presentation.
There’s always something with garlic that gives it power to make foods more appetizingly
wonderful to eat. Onion, its cousin, may have its own wonderful attributes, but garlic always manages to overshadow
