How do you roast garlic in the oven? You will need whole garlic bulbs instead of cloves. This is one of the few times when cooking garlic will involve the whole head rather than just the cloves themselves. You can start with 6-8 bulbs in order not to waste the gas.

Cut the upper pointed part using a sharp knife. You can place the bulb on its side in order to do this conveniently. Cut as conservatively as you can but making sure at the same time that the entire clove tips are included.

Or you can smear them with some butter or cheese.

Load in a preheated oven for approximately one hour over a pan. The oven should be at 3500 F. You can take them out from the oven and remove the tin foil. If your beers are cold enough and your barbecues are ready then let the feast begin. You can eat it whole or mash it with a fork.
